Dr. Ming Sun, display silicon architecture at Apple, senior IEEE

Background

Dr. Ming Sun has 9 years industry experience and 7 years research experience. Currently he is the display silicon architect at Apple. Prior to Apple, he is staff IC design lead at Qualcomm PMIC BU, where he is involved and lead multiple PMIC projects and IP modules, such as boost converter, LCD dual rail power supply, buck/boost, AMOLED, white LED, infrastructure and haptics. Prior to Qualcomm, he worked at SG-Micro and Omnivision, where he was responsible for LED driver and high speed current-steering DAC design. He obtained his PhD degree at Arizona State University.

Dr. Ming Sun is a senior IEEE member. He has published multiple papers, such as on JSSC. He is a technical paper reviewer for multiple journals, such as TCASI, VLSI, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics. His areas of expertise includes DC-DC converter, switching regulator, linear regulator, LCD and LED driver, AMOLED and charge pump.

Education

Dr. Ming Sun graduated from Arizona State University with a PhD in Electrical Engineering.
